a small fishing village into a tourist complex of hotels, apartments, <br>
restaurants and a sports marina.</p>

<p>The town belongs to the municipality of <a href="http://amazingalmeria.es/tag/roquetas/">Roquetas de Mar</a>, which is the most important tourist nucleus of the province and one of the most important on the Andalusian coast.</p>

<p>Aguadulce has attracted many residents from the province to have their second home here, but also a large number of foreign holiday makers and residents come to enjoy the fantastic climate and complete tourist facilities.</p>

<p>Aguadulce has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. <br>
In the evening you could relax by taking a pleasant stroll o­n the promenade or sampling the varied night life. <br>
During the summer, the sports marina is the main gathering point for people from all over the area, where fun and nightlife is rife until the early hours of the morning.</p>

<p>The Aguadulce beach is about 2,5 km. long and is one of the busiest beaches in Almeria. It has a Blue Flag and also many services for the use and enjoyment of it.</p>

<p>Aguadulce is situated at some 10km to the West of <a href="http://amazingalmeria.es/tag/almeria-city/">Almeria City</a>. <br>
The airport is only 25km away and the port of Almeria is nearby.</p>

It's a vibrant city with almost 200,000 people. Located in most sunny part of Europe you normally have great weather.  </p>

<h5 id="whattodo">What to Do?</h5>

<p>Almeria Capital has some great beaches like Zapilo. A nice center with a lot of shop, bars and restaurants. For walking there are some great parks and the beach. At night you can visit the bars and clubs in the old city center. </p>

<p>For some culture you can visit the Catedral, the Arab fortress or some of the musea.</p>

<p>When it's too hot or the very rare ocasion it rains you can visit Alcampo the shopping mall  </p>

<h5 id="history">History</h5>

<p>Almería originated with the need for a better defence system that the Arab towns in the area had. It was Abd-al-Rahman III who founded the Alcazaba (the Citadel), which gave this city its name: Al-Mari'yah (المرئية, the Watchtower.</p>

It is bordered by the provinces of Granada, Murcia, and the Mediterranean Sea. Its capital is the homonymous city of <a href="http://amazingalmeria.es/Almeria-City">Almería</a>.</p>

<p>Almería is located in the most sunny part of Europe. It has the most sun hours and least amount of rain. Even the winters are soft and it does not freeze, only in some higher situated parts.</p>

<p>In the north of Almería you will find Granada at a 1,5 hour drive. It's possible to ski at the Sierra Nevada(Granada) in the morning and visit the beach in the evening. All in 1 day! </p>

<p>Since Almeria is population density is low, there is no traffic problem on the high ways. It's a great and safe place to live and enjoy life. </p>

<p>Almería has one of the largest protected coastal area called Cabo de Gata, a wild and isolated landscape with some of Europe's most original geological features. You can find some amazing playas there. Some nearby sierras (desserts) make it a great spot for movie makers too. <br>
Many movies have been shot in the region. From Indiana Jones, Cowboys (The Good the Bad and the Ugly), Barbarians (Conan) and lately Excodus Gods and Kings.</p>
